9.068 Escalator Comb Plate Alumimium Die Cast Comb Powder Coated
Combs are a crucial part of the floor plate system and are mounted on a comb plate to prevent foreign objects from entering the internal space of an escalator or moving walkway. Combs also serve to guide steps or pallets into the system return side and ensure they stay on the right path. If a large object becomes lodged or the system is operating abnormally, the step may hit the comb and cause individual teeth to break. This can increase the gap between the step and completion, resulting in a higher risk of step entrapment and reduced passenger safety. In such cases, the combs should be replaced promptly and correctly to ensure the safe operation of the escalator.
